About the HB-750 Outlaw

The Outlaw is Hingeback's answer to the beadlock question. A precision-machined simulated beadlock ring with 24 functional hex bolts gives you the aggressive beadlock look without the DOT compliance headaches of a true beadlock. The ring is a separate machined piece that bolts to the wheel face — it's not just cosmetic lines cast into the spoke. Signal Red is our loudest finish and it's an Outlaw exclusive: a deep candy red with metallic flake that looks black in the shade and screams red in direct sun.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Outlaw's beadlock ring DOT legal?

Yes. The Outlaw is a simulated beadlock — the tire seats on a standard bead seat, not clamped by the ring. This makes it fully DOT and street legal in all 50 states. The 24-bolt ring is a separate machined piece that bolts to the wheel face for the beadlock aesthetic without the legal complexity.

Can I air down with the Outlaw like a real beadlock?

You can air down to about 15 PSI safely on the Outlaw's standard bead seat — that's enough for most trail situations. For extreme rock crawling below 10 PSI, you'd want our HB-850 Lockout which has an engineered bead retention groove. The Outlaw is built for the 90% of off-roaders who want the look and moderate airing down capability.

What makes the Signal Red finish different?

Signal Red is a three-stage finish: black base coat, candy red mid-coat with metallic flake, and UV clear coat. The result is a color-shifting effect — deep maroon in low light, bright metallic red in direct sun. It's a Hingeback exclusive that we developed specifically for the Outlaw. It carries the same 3-year finish warranty as all our colors.
